Barella – Fausto Lama
This is a very special project to me since it wasn’t actually recorded with my gear but with Barella’s equipment which is a basic entry level setup.
I did this because I followed the artistic vision of Barella which was a very “home made” product, sounding raw and essential.
I also wrote and played guitar parts for the all record and used heavier than usual analog saturation on the mastering process to add more dirt and character to the final product.
I love the result, it is very raw indeed and almost lo-fi in some cases and to me it’s the proof that hi-fi and hyper pristine sounding records are not always the best fit for every piece of musical art.
